Staycation 2012
Dawn and I both took the a whole week off work in mid-July. Rather than go anywhere, we decided to stick around the familiars and do various activities with the boys. No constraints or itinerary is how we rolled. It was a grand old time, spent as a family. Rarely do I get to spend extended periods of time with the boys and Dawn so this was quite the personal treat.
One main objective to tackle was building the playset. Most of which was paid for from contributions to the twins for their birthday from family and friends. So thanks for this y’all. The Grimm boys will be sweating and beating on it for years to come.
Even though we did not have any set plans, there were activities we wanted to do with the boys. So we hit the pavement and went bowling, swimming at Auntie Amy’s pool, dinner and a movie date(saw Brave), and the annual trek to the Taste of Chicago. Capped off with a trip to Santa’s Village.
That is one amazing swingset! You are lucky boys! Maybe Auntie Mamy can move in there…… :)
