I had two presents that I wanted for Mother’s Day this year. The first was for Conor to be walking, which he has now become a little pro at and is walking all over the place and having a fun time keeping up with his big brother. The second present that I wanted very much and have wanted for one whole year now is for Kayce to poop on the potty. And it makes me one very proud Mama to finally say that he has been pooping on the potty now for one week!! I didn’t think I’d be able to get to say that until he was 4 or 5 the way that we have spent this past year with all the underwear cleanings. I decided to go the route of tough love this time around. He would not get to watch tv, play with toys, and would be sent to his room from now on if he pooped in his underwear. Tough, yes. BUT, it never even came down to that because the first two days we caught him before he started going and he made it to the potty, and after that he then let us know when he had to go poop. We have an awesome poo poo in the potty dance, and are sure to have his favorite treats in the house. Donuts, m & m’s, skittles, and now even tattoos!
Oh what pride I have in both of my boys. I really don’t think they are ever going to top this most perfect Mother’s Day for me!!

I am VERY happy that I finally get to write this post! Conor is finally walking!!!! He started last Thursday, and now hasn’t stopped. Sure, starting in February he took a few steps here and there, but now he is all over the place. He made it from the tv room all the way down the hallway to the dining room without so much as a stumble. I remember saying to Justin that I felt as happy as if he was the first person to walk on the moon!! One of those priceless moments that I know I’ll never forget! And the kicker of all is that I just placed a phone call to Early Intervention to start physical therapy with him, guess we won’t be needing that anymore now!
This goes back a few months, but Kayce made his first official visit to a movie theatre. His movie of choice was Alvin & The Chipmunks – The Squeakquel. We went to see it with his cousin (Kyle, Kelsey, Kody) and both of Dawn and I. Wish I could remember what my first movie in viewing was.
Here are some of my favorite newest quotes by Kayce. The things he says are so hysterical, and this is a way to always remember them!
Dawn: Kayce you need to stay in your bed tonight until it is light outside in the morning. If you come in Mommy and Daddy’s bed in the night time, then you can’t watch tv tomorrow.
Kayce: That’s okay. My toys will be happy.
Kayce is eating a flower shaped ice cube. Keep in mind that he absolutely will not drink a sip of water! And I say to him, ‘Kayce did you know that ice is frozen water?’. His response, ‘No, it’s not water, it’s ice. The kids will eat it!’
We took Conor to his 18 month appointment and as the Doctor goes to unfasten Conor’s diaper, Kayce says ‘Is the doctor looking at the baby’s penis?’. Doctor laughing replies ‘Well you’ve got your bases covered!’
