Christmastime
Christmas for the Grimm Family tends to entail a tour of the greater Chicaoland area. It can feel a bit daunting at times. Getting all 4 boys up, out, and ready to roll is not an easy task. But it gives us and the boys a chance to spend some quality time around the holidays with the ones we love dearest. I couldn’t picture the holidays any other way. We’re so lucky to have such generous and unconditional family and friends in our lives and Christmas is always a great reminder.
This year saw us kicking things off at Navy Pier to take in the great Winter Wonderland with Grandpa Ken.
Next was Grandma Lucille’s for Christmas Eve.
Christmas morning is always spent on the home front, with a final run over to Grandpa and Grandma Grimm’s to top off the tour.
A couple of days before Christmas, Dawn got the idea of delivering some home baked goods to our neighbors. Whom have been extremely gracious and welcoming to our new surroundings. She got to work with the boys and baked batches of various cookies, cupcakes and other treats. We may not be carolers but we did a good job this year of going around and spreading cheer!
